The TFA is urging it’s members to keep up the pressure on their local MP around changes announced during the autumn 2024 Budget.

Members of Parliament (MP) will shortly be heading back to their constituencies for the Christmas recess. As they do so, it will be essential to ensure that they keep in their minds the issues impacting the farming community following the Inheritance Tax changes announced by the Chancellor of the Exchequer, not least for the tenanted sector of Agriculture. If you have not done so already, the TFA is urging members to consider writing to their MP, particularly if they are a Labour MP, to highlight the problems that have been created and the ways in which the Government could move to mitigate the impact of those changes.
