This week, DEFRA provided an update on the Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) and its other agri-environment schemes.  This follows the publication of results of its most recent farmer opinion tracker on 31 July, which indicated a very low level of confidence amongst farmers regarding the likelihood that the current schemes being developed by DEFRA would be beneficial for farming.  See TFA Blog #243 for more information and TFA’s reaction to the report.
